Download Veil

Installation

Open the DMG file Double-click the downloaded file
Drag Veil to Applications Drop it on the Applications shortcut in the window
Open Veil Launch it from Applications or Spotlight
Mac will show a security warning — this is normal! Click "Done" (don't trash it). Then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click "Open Anyway" next to the Veil message.
You're in Veil appears in your menu bar. Click the bars to start recording.

Why does macOS block it?

Apple blocks apps from developers who haven't paid for an Apple Developer certificate. We're independent developers building privacy-first software. Your data is safe — that's literally what we built this for. We're working on getting certified so this step goes away.

Installation

Run the installer Double-click the downloaded .exe file
Windows may show a SmartScreen warning Click "More info" then "Run anyway". This happens because we're a new publisher.
Follow the setup wizard Choose your install location and complete the setup
You're in Veil appears in your system tray. Click the icon to start recording.

Auto-updates

Veil checks for updates automatically. When a new version is available, you'll see a notification in Settings. Updates are differential — only the changed parts are downloaded.
